2020 Holiday Activities & Keepsakes
Happy Holidays Friends! I wanted to share a group of fun and festive things the kids and I have been doing! Today we received a HUGE amount of snow so I figured it was a great day to get some crafting and learning in. So scroll through and see what we have been up to this holiday season!
THE YEAR WE STAYED HOME ORNAMENT
What You Need:
-Cardstock
-Paint
-Popsicle Sticks
-Hot Glue
-Those little hands
Directions:
Simply have your child paint the sticks and then paint their hand print. Then all you have to do is put the house together. I just typed out the saying in a word document. Easy Peasy!
Decorate The Tree ( A Letter Recognition Activity)
What You Need:
-Butcher Paper
-Black Marker
-Construction Paper
Directions:
Draw a tree design on your butcher paper and then add letters on the lines of the tree. Make sure to spread them out because you will be putting circle ornaments on them. Cut out 26 colored circles from construction paper and add the letters of the alphabet to each piece. Then simply give one at a time to your child and have them match the ornament letter to the letters on the tree. You can also add a star to the top if you would like. You can also do numbers instead of letters for this activity as well.
RUDOLPH PLATE CRAFT
What you need:
-paper plates
-brown paint
-red pom moms
-brown construction paper
-scissors
-glue
-popsicle sticks
Directions:
All you do is have your child paint the paper plate, then trace their handprints and cut out a space for them to look out. Glue the hand prints on the top, add some pom moms and a popsicle stick to hold it up!
Take some super CUTE photos!
NAME CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
What You Need:
-Cardstock
-fingerpaints
-your little ones fingers
Directions:
I printed out their names on the computer and then we just finger-painted their names with different colors of paint. I will be laminating these for a special keepsake.
I hope all of you enjoyed these festive activities. Let me know if you try any of them out, I would love to see it. I hope everyone has a beautiful Christmas and and Happy New Year! I will be back in the new year with TONS of fun posts! I hope to see all of you then!
