Happy SHARK WEEK! On today's post I will be sharing all the fun activities that we did during Shark Week. I was able to grab some FREE printables from ABCDEELEARNING that worked out perfect for this week. I also grabbed some Shark books that I will share in more detail below. My main goal for this week was for the kids to have fun and incorporate some learning along the way. I would love to hear if you celebrated Shark Week as well!
Five Little Sharks Swimming In The Sea:
A great counting story for toddlers and preschoolers!
Smiley Shark:
A story about a shark who is always smiling, which in turn scares all the other sea animals. This story does have a happy ending though because in the end it is his smile that saves the day!
Then we did some fun activities that included tracing lines to different sharks, writing our names with sharks and Hudson had a blast coloring his shark! That's a lot of shark talk! Ha!
She is getting so good at this!
Her tracing was right on point! I am so proud of her!
Hudson was so excited to color his shark. He named each part as he colored it in! So cute!
We then moved on to working on our math skills as we counted the number of sharks and traced a line to the corresponding number.
Lilly used these great shark erasers from the target dollar spot to help in counting the number of sharks.
Hudson had fun lining up the sharks and counting up how many he had.
We then learned about the different parts of a shark! I have to say the printables from ABCDEELEARNING were so perfect because they allowed the kids to learn about all the different sharks and then they were able to do some hands on learning with them as well. Such a great resource if you haven't checked her out already!
Thats' a WRAP! I hope all of you enjoyed all these fun SHARK activities! We definitely had a blast
learning about all the different types of sharks, the HAMMERHEAD was a favorite for sure!
Until next time,
XO
Kim
